Health and Wellness
We believe that having a healthy body, mind and spirit is essential for improving quality of life and longevity. Our residents seem to agree! Our weekly fitness programs include:
- Aqua Aerobics
- Arthritis Exercises
- Bone Builders (for Osteoporosis)
- Fit Forever (strengthening and toning)
- Line Dancing (balance, coordination and strength building)
- Stability Ball & Mat (core training)
- Stand Tall (balance and strength)
- Walking Club (cardio and muscle strength)
- Weight Management
Additional services and events such as personal training, fitness orientations, “Wellness Wednesdays”, guest speakers, and special fitness events (such as hiking and athletic tournaments) are also offered.
Exciting Health and Wellness Remodel Coming Soon!
In 2009, we will be adding a new dimension to our health and wellness program. We are building a new fitness center that will house the fitness equipment (cardio, strength and free weights), a motion studio, massage rooms, beauty salon, locker rooms, indoor swimming pool, outdoor walking pool, and a hot tub. This new state-of-the-art facility will enable us to add additional services such as:
- Arthritis foundation aquatic program (joint flexibility and range of motion)
- Aqua T’ai Chi (balance, stability, form and relaxation)
- Deep water aerobics (cardio and muscle strength)
- Lap swimming (cardio and muscle strength)
- Sit and move (aerobics class in a chair)
- Land based T’ai Chi (body, mind and spirit)
- Water walking (cardio and muscle strength)
