A Retiree's Paradise

Sun City started construction in the 1960s as a Del Webb community on the site of what was once the ghost town of Marinette. The concept of retirement communities was an overwhelming success. As more retired to the area, Del Webb began construction on Sun City West in the late-1970s, Sun City Grand in the late-1990s, Sun City Anthem in 1999, and Sun City Festival in July 2006. These communities are thriving with active seniors who live life as life is intended to be lived!

The Sun City Recreation Centers (RCSC), for an optional $210/year/person fee, offer a myriad of activities from bowling and golf to swimming and crafts. With seven recreation centers, eight golf courses and more than 120 chartered clubs, there's something for everyone in Sun City!

Royal Oaks is right in the midst of the main Sun City hub and was built by residents from Sun City who envisioned a place where those active retirees would also rely on extended health services if that care was ever needed, in a central place, in a campus environment.
